I have had the parts sitting in my garage for 6 months meaning to do it as part of my gradual "restoration" plans, and finally got around to having them put in (don't have the tools or confidence to tackle this one). Let me just say if you haven't yet done this and your car has at least 70K miles on it (mine has 72K), it could be the best "mod" I've done in a long time. Keep in mind I wasn't getting any ECU codes, and the mode I and II diagnostics were coming up with enough flashes for the requisite time, but I figured given the mileage I was getting (15MPG city), and the age of the car, it was worth a shot. The car has also been running just fine of late. Now I won't claim I got back 10 HP or anything, but coming up a hill that I always take to work, I was accelerating in 3rd gear when the rear wheels broke loose at 2800 RPM, causing a nice little powerslide (which I caught, thankfully before I passed the cop who had pulled somebody over on the other side of the hill). Ok, so it is raining today, but let me just say that I've never done that in the rain on this hill before. And the car seems to be running even smoother than it was before. No word yet on my mileage, as I just picked up the car this morning, but I'll report back on that next week. Anyway, just my $0.02. If you haven't done this to your higher mileage Z, think about it.
